DSP+ARM+FPGA-Based Rail Transit 6U Chassis Structure Traction Control Unit (PCIe)

The hardware system of the Traction Control Unit (TCU) is a multi-processor-based embedded system. This system fully integrates the powerful computational and logical processing capabilities of Digital Signal Processors (DSP), embedded processors (PowerPC, ARM), embedded microcontrollers (MCU), and FPGAs. Combined with a real-time operating system, a single TCU can achieve control of up to 4 sets of rectification/inversion. Its configuration can also be flexibly adjusted according to actual product applications. The architecture of a typical configuration is as follows:

Key Features: ▶ Independent hardware configuration for rectification control and inversion control (DSP + ADI + PIO); ▶ CPCI bus – for high-speed communication between MCPU, NETI, DSP, and OUTI boards; ▶ CAN bus – for communication between I/O interface boards (including DI, DO, and AIO boards) and NETI boards; ▶ Ethernet, RS485, CAN, MVB, and other bus interfaces – for external communication of the Traction Control Unit; ▶ The system adopts an open architecture, featuring high integration, compact structure, and strong scalability; ▶ Designed based on standard buses, allowing for free combination of boards; ▶ The operating system has high real-time performance, and user programs have good portability; ▶ The main control board and DSP have strong floating-point computing capabilities, meeting current control and computation needs, and reserving capacity for future functional expansion. ▶ Equipped with comprehensive self-detection and fault diagnosis functions, offering good fault diagnosis and localization, and strong maintainability; ▶ Features automatic hardware board recognition, capable of automatically loading corresponding drivers or software based on board information; ▶ Includes safety protection measures such as overcurrent, overvoltage, undervoltage, overspeed, feedback protection, and power-off protection, effectively preventing further spread of system failures; ▶ Provides functions such as process monitoring, process recording, and fault recording, facilitating process and fault analysis.
