Logistics is crucial to the national economy and people's livelihoods, an indispensable part of social development. With the reform and opening up of society, industrial development has been rapid, accompanied by the swift growth of the logistics industry. The surge in business volume in e-commerce and express delivery, coupled with rising labor costs, has led to explosive growth in the automated conveying and sorting equipment market. The logistics industry is transforming from traditional methods to digitalization and intelligence, with new logistics industries benefiting from rapid upgrades driven by industrial internet, 5G, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things.

During shopping festivals, consumers purchase large quantities of goods, merchants receive massive orders, and a huge volume of packages are dispatched. This is where logistics sorting systems play a crucial role. Logistics conveying and sorting systems are an important part of the logistics process, widely used in logistics distribution centers and intra-logistics. To separate individual items from mixed piles of extremely heavy packages, an express logistics single-piece separator control system is required.

Express Logistics Single-Piece Separator Control System

This single-piece separation system consists of a disperser, a single-piece separator, a vision recognition system, and a centering machine.

Packages are first dispersed and arranged in front of the single-piece separator by a disperser. The conveyor line then spreads out the packages delivered to the single-piece separator, aligning them one by one. A vision recognition system above takes photos for detection, real-time determining package IDs and their positions. Data algorithms analyze and calculate the optimal separation sequence and path. The single-piece separator then separates the packages and creates gaps between them. Finally, a centering machine outputs the packages in a single row.

This system not only enables orderly separation of piled goods but also significantly reduces traditional manual labor.

The separator control system consists of a motion controller based on the CODESYS platform and next-generation EtherCAT bus B3E high-end servo drives, featuring a high-speed 2ms refresh cycle and supporting up to 128 axes. With such a powerful and precise "brain," even a large volume of packages can be managed effortlessly.

Under the command of AX8, the mixed packages are driven by conveyors managed by B3E high-end servos, automatically separated at specified intervals, creating gaps, and then arranged into a single, orderly row for passage. This facilitates subsequent actions such as photo scanning and unloading, significantly improving package sorting efficiency.
