Sound and Vibration

Sound and vibration products can connect microphones and accelerometers to acquire acoustic and vibration signals. These products can be used for audio testing, machine condition monitoring, and Noise, Vibration, and Harshness (NVH) applications.

Provides dynamic signal acquisition for sound and vibration applications based on CompactDAQ and CompactRIO systems.

C Series sound and vibration input modules integrate software-selectable AC/DC coupling, IEPE open/short detection, and IEPE signal conditioning. Input channels allow for synchronous signal measurement. Each channel also features a built-in anti-aliasing filter that automatically adjusts to the sample rate. These modules are compatible with smart TEDS sensors. C Series sound and vibration input modules also include NI-DAQmx drivers and configuration utilities to simplify setup and measurement. NI-DAQmx supports NI programming environments as well as Python, ANSI C, C#.NET, and MathWorks MATLAB ® software.

What are Sound and Vibration Input Modules?

C Series sound and vibration input modules can connect microphones and accelerometers to acquire acoustic and vibration signals. These modules are suitable for audio testing, machine condition monitoring, and Noise, Vibration, and Harshness (NVH) applications.

Easy Connection to Accelerometers

With C Series sound and vibration input modules and the included NI software, users can quickly connect microphones and accelerometers to the modules and begin testing, thereby reducing time to first measurement.

Programming with C, .NET, and Other Languages

C Series sound and vibration input modules work with our free NI-DAQmx drivers. You can leverage our documentation and example programs to program your sound or vibration tests using your preferred programming language (including LabVIEW, Python, C, or C#.NET), thereby increasing flexibility.
