Domestic Alternative Solution for NI Virtual Instrument High-Precision Data Acquisition Card Controllers
What is CompactDAQ?
CompactDAQ systems can acquire and deliver validated data to meet your testing needs, regardless of distance or environment. These customizable, portable solutions consist of various data acquisition modules that enable synchronized measurements over a network. They help you digitize data and can be deployed closer to sensors, minimizing noise and simplifying field wiring.
CompactDAQ offers a cost-effective benchtop measurement approach. You can combine sensor-specific conditioned I/O modules with software optimized for DAQ applications.
Ideal for:
-
High-channel-count distributed DAQ applications
-
Benchtop testing and measurement
-
Mixed-sensor measurements

Accurate Sensor Measurements
NI offers over 70 high-quality C Series I/O modules with built-in sensor or signal conditioning capabilities. You can mix and match different I/O modules to build precise and repeatable systems that meet any measurement requirement.

System Scalability
Expand and deploy systems using Ethernet-compatible CompactDAQ chassis to achieve µs-level synchronized measurements across multiple chassis or in distributed environments.

Compact and Rugged Design
CompactDAQ's robust features allow it to withstand operating temperatures from -40°C to 70°C and shocks up to 30 g, making it suitable for both laboratory and field operations. For extreme operating environments, FieldDAQTM devices with IP67 protection are available.

Flexible Programming Options
You can develop custom data logging applications using .NET, C#, Python, or LabVIEW, or use FlexLogger™ application software to quickly configure systems and record and view data without programming.

CompactDAQ System Components
In a CompactDAQ system, the chassis connects to a PC via USB or Ethernet, and one or more conditioned I/O modules can be inserted into the chassis to directly connect to sensors. CompactDAQ controllers are available in various models, capable of running Windows or a real-time operating system for standalone operation.

Chassis
CompactDAQ chassis are developed for precise conditioned measurements, allowing you to perform various mixed-measurement data acquisition in a synchronized I/O system. These chassis offer connectivity options such as USB, Ethernet, or WiFi, and feature multiple slots to provide ample I/O for various applications. Combined with the right software, CompactDAQ systems help you configure how to acquire, analyze, display, and manage your measurement data.
Acquire Mixed-Measurement Data
CompactDAQ chassis support over 60 measurement modules. Once inserted into the chassis, these modules can directly connect to sensors or signals and acquire synchronized measurement results. CompactDAQ chassis feature multiple timing engines, allowing separate hardware-timed I/O tasks to run at different rates within the same system.
Deploy in Harsh Environments
With their rugged form factor, wider operating temperature range of -40°C to 70°C, 50g shock resistance, and 5g vibration resistance, CompactDAQ chassis can be deployed close to the device under test, shortening sensor cable lengths and reducing noise interference.
Synchronized Distributed Systems
With chassis based on Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) technology, you can achieve accurate long-distance synchronization and minimize wiring costs, making it easier to implement time-synchronized distributed measurements over Ethernet. You can also use integrated network switches to easily expand your system via simple daisy-chain connections.

Controllers
CompactDAQ controllers are rugged, reliable, high-performance integrated controllers with industry-standard certifications. They can record data to onboard or removable SD storage while performing waveform acquisition and online software analysis. Controllers also offer a wide range of standard connectivity and expansion options, such as USB, Ethernet, CAN/LIN, and RS232 serial.

Data Acquisition Modules
The platform offers over 60 C Series I/O modules, supporting almost any type of sensor, allowing you to quickly customize your hardware for a perfect balance of size, cost, and performance. C Series modules are high-quality input and output modules that provide signal conditioning and analog-to-digital conversion for your CompactDAQ system. These hot-swappable modules can be directly inserted into the chassis, enabling you to easily customize a system tailored to your application's specific needs.
