Autonomous Driving Planning and Control Hardware-Software Integrated Controller Solution (Part 1)
With the advancement of society, the automotive industry and electronic technology are developing rapidly. The number of in-vehicle electronic devices is increasing, and the integration level of automotive electronics platforms is getting higher and higher. The convergence of the two is revolutionizing people's driving and riding experience. This paper designs a system based on x86 SoC to achieve efficient automotive smart cockpit technology and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), reducing the total cost for users.
The main work of this paper is as follows:

Investigated the domestic and international industry status and development trends of in-vehicle systems, analyzed solutions from mainstream in-vehicle control manufacturers and major Tier 1 suppliers, pointed out the advantages and disadvantages of current smart cockpit in-vehicle systems, elaborated on key technologies in the design, and proposed the overall architecture and solution for this system design.

Researched the hardware architecture and safety modes of smart cockpits and advanced driver-assistance systems, designed a hardware architecture solution for the in-vehicle computer system, including various sub-functional modules such as the core master control system, input/output control system, display module, panoramic camera module, and storage module, and proposed solutions for a 360-degree panoramic camera and a dual-screen rear-seat entertainment display sub-module. The system implements the master control computer functions for smart cockpit and ADAS platforms.

In terms of software, virtualization technology is adopted to seamlessly support the use and interaction of multiple high-definition screens, such as in-vehicle infotainment (IVI), digital instrument clusters, dual-screen rear-seat entertainment displays, and in-vehicle navigators, on a single overall hardware platform, enhancing user experience and reducing system risks.
This paper implements a complete smart cockpit and advanced driver-assistance system. Through testing of the overall system and its sub-modules, the system's various expected functional indicators have been verified, demonstrating good promotion value and application prospects.

It features dual-channel DDR4, supporting up to 64GB. Integrated Intel® HD Graphics 530 supports VGA and HDMI display outputs. It provides 4 Realtek I211 Gigabit Ethernet ports, and M.2 interfaces for 15G and 1*WIFI functions, enabling wireless internet access with a SIM card. It has 4 USB2.0, 5 USB3.0, and 1 mSATA interface. An ALC662 6-channel high-fidelity audio controller is integrated.
The 6-layer PCB stack-up design enhances its electromagnetic interference (EMI) and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) capabilities.
