Fully Domestically Produced Loongson 2K0500 Multi-functional SoC Processor and its Solutions
The Loongson 2K0500 integrates on-chip a single 64-bit LoongArch LA264 processor core, 32KB L1 instruction cache, 32KB L1 data cache, 512KB L2 cache, a 32-bit DDR2/3-1066 controller, a 2D GPU graphics core, a DVO display interface, two PCIe 2.0 channels, two SATA 2.0 channels, four USB 2.0 channels, one USB 3.0 channel, two GMACs, a PCI bus, a color and monochrome printing interface, HDA, and other common interfaces, operating at 500-800MHz.
It also supports low-power technologies such as ACPI/DVFS/DPM dynamic power management, multiple power levels, and wake-up methods. Based on specific application scenarios, it can dynamically control the clock and power switching for some chip functions and high-speed interfaces, meeting the low-power application requirements in fields such as industrial control and network security.


Based on the Loongson 2K0500, Loongson Technology and Xinmai have launched several solutions based on this platform.



- Domestically Produced BMC Solution
Equipped with domestically produced components, achieving 100% autonomous and controllable localization.
Connected to the main system via PCIe, LPC, and USB buses, it enables VGA display, in-band communication, and KVM-related functions for the main system. It collects and controls various sensors such as temperature, voltage, and fans via I2C/PWM, and communicates with chassis and rack management modules and provides out-of-band management control via LAN, Serial, and IPMB.
- Fully Domestically Produced Module
With a maximum frequency of 800MHz, the module features rich I/O interfaces: supporting two RGMII interfaces, two SATA 2.0, four CAN 2.0, four TTL serial ports, four USB 2.0 interfaces, and one USB 3.0 interface with OTG mode support. The expansion interface supports two PCIe x1 lanes and one standard 32-bit PCI (configurable for localbus mode).
The module measures 76mmx55mm, with a total power consumption of 3-5W. It adopts a full surface-mount, highly localized design, featuring low power consumption, small size, and suitability for wide temperature operating environments. It can be widely applied in various embedded fields such as government, scientific research, medical, communication, and transportation.
